    Hello N V Kumar,

My name is Pramila Pandey and I am marketing consultant for Infinishare Technologies Pvt Ltd. We are located in Mountain View, California with a development office in India.

We have developed a product, brand named ‘Purplenova Web Server’ that allows any internet- connected PC, to securely and privately web-host content. There are no limits on file sizes –user is only limited by the capacity of his hard disk. There are no uploads! Content is served directly from the User’s PC.

Here are a few salient features of the product,

No configuration or special network setup required. Installation is quick (File size is 3.1 MB only).
The Publisher’s computer could be behind Routers/Firewall/Proxies/NAT devices and have any type of internet connection (broadband preferred).
User PCs are proxied behind our servers, Hence their PCs are protected against any malware attacks.
Users can also designate their content for private hosting, which are intended for limited viewing.

    Here are a few benefits,

Allows users to host websites developed using any technology (HTML, DHTML, Java Script, Flash, etc.)
Allows hosting of web apps, Internal LAN application can be made accessible over the internet, without configuring internal apache/IIS web server.
Allows pointing of domain name or sub-domain name to a PC running Purplenova.
Also allows FTP to the computer running Purplenova Web Server
Provides Mobile Access – Secure and private access to Purplenova files from Mobile devices.

We are targeting this product to (Small and Medium Enterprises) SME’s. They operate with restricted resources; however, have some IT infrastructure in place, such as PCs, Broadband etc. In most cases, this infrastructure is not utilized optimally. With Purplenova, they can use their existing IT infrastructure without any additional investment. Also, they are in full control of their content. They can make changes to the content on their PC and make them available for their customers, vendors or readers instantly. They do not have to make repeated uploads which saves them time. A good example would be a company that makes frequent changes to its service offerings, pricing brochures or product catalogues.

You can find more information about the product on our website http://www.purplenova.com

Apart from this offering, we also offer other products like Purplenova-Mobile services for corporate users.

Please take a look at Purplenova Web Server and share your thoughts with us, We reckon your readers may find it to be of interest.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Pramila,

    Hi,
The list of World’s Great Metro Rail Projects is very useful. Can you pl suggest biographies of Great Engineers who built such projects ? Even a book on such projects- esp the one which chronicles the challenges and how they were overcome .
    Thanks
    Regds
